Catching Up

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind. Moving into a new apartment, starting classes, reconnecting with friends--so so hectic! It has definitely been difficult getting back into 'hitting the books' every night (my courses are super reading-intensive this semester and I'm definitely not used to it yet!) but it has been so nice to be so busy again. Looming in the (not so distant) future is figuring out my plan to study in Europe next semester. I'm having the toughest time deciding (and I've been pestering everyone who I come in contact with for help with my decision).

But it's down to three:
Dublin, Ireland
Brussels, Belgium
Copenhagen, Denmark.

Want to make this decision for me?

Despite all the chaos, Leah and I have been taking some time out of our busy days to make dinner every night together. It's so lovely to stop everything to spend some time being creative in the kitchen and forgetting about everything else for just a little bit.

On the menu lately...

 Stuffed peppers

Tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh basil, and balsamic

Pad thai (made with ramen noodles!)

Inspiring me today...

 This cozy look.
 This updo.
 This lengthy scarf
And this casual braid.

Pizza Night!

Last night was one of the last nights I have home with my family before I head back to the chaos of school on Monday morning. It was nice just to hang out with my parents (though my brother was at school for the evening--he's so excited to be back with his friends after the summer) and also so nice to not have to pay for all the groceries!

DIY Studded jean jacket

This is a project I've been wanting to do for a while. But.... I've been a little too lazy to actually get around to it (I always procrastinate buying things online, in this case... the studs). But thanks to a little gift from Leah (thank goodness she had an emo middle school phase!) I finally got around to my studding project.

materials:

studded belt (Leah's from 7th grade)
jean jacket
jewelry pliers

Voila!
