It's been ages!

It's been forever since I last posted. Life has been an absolute whirlwind. One of those periods where so many things are happening, you can't get a hold of what is going on until it's already onto the next big thing.

On May 21st, I returned from Europe, after a rainy and exhausting last few days in Paris. Leah and I were both so excited to be exploring together again, but we both knew it was time to head home. For the next week I simply relaxed--shirking all of my worldly duties (emails were left unsent, text messages left unread). Instead I laid on the couch by the fire (Memorial Day weekend was a chilly one!), ate mounds of fresh berries, and read. The next Friday, life picked up again: I drove to Connecticut to be a part of Leah's father's 60th birthday party (as one of the only 'kids' I felt so grown up!), then back home on Saturday, and off to Boston on Sunday to move into a new apartment with Leah! Monday started a whole new experience--as a student intern in a major hospital in Boston. A thrilling and exhausting experience, but so worthwhile, as I am leaning more and more towards the idea of going to medical school!

The first week in Boston was a little rough around the edges, but in the most amazing way possible. Waking up early to commute across the city can leave you wary and a whole week of meeting new people and doing new things can be exhausting. But at the end of the day, Leah and I could come home to each other, try to pick ourselves up off the couch, and go explore another new place together.

So a few highlights of the last few weeks...

For the summer, Leah and I have decided to forego buying internet, and instead use the time we would have wasted on mindless Netflix-watching and internet-browsing on reading and exploring our beautiful new city. However, we have dubbed Friday mornings as our Starbucks-Internet-date mornings, so I will likely only be blogging about once a week. (Maybe I'll write a few posts during the week to finish up all of the 'Blog Every Day in May' topics (apparently blogging every day last month was not exactly in the stars for me... oops...))

I hope the start of summer has been amazing for all!
Talk to you soon!
